My classroom is in need of some new music supplies for our classroom! The students have requested more drumming activities connected to world cultures. Drumming is an excellent way to engage the students when introduces various cultures into music to our curriculum. We are in need of additional drums to replace those in disrepair. For the students I serve, it is important to build a sense of community and cultural respect. With the addition of 4 drums, more students will have the opportunity to have daily use and experiences with percussion. The planned activity, for these instruments, in the 2018-19 academic year, is Drumming for Character and World Music. These drums will enhance the World Music experience by providing a conduit that creates a personal connection to the music. Your donation will help us start to update our supplies and will impact each of our 350 students.
