As a music educator, I feel the need to provide the students at Charleston High School with not only the tools they need to adequately use textbooks to fulfill their learning needs, but also the newest in computer technology in order for them to be competitive in the workplace after graduation. These computers will help expose them to modern digital audio recording, music production, and film editing. Currently, we have 4 working desktop computers in the schools music program. The computers that are here are still running Windows 95. We have about 280 students within 9th-12th grades. It is my goal to house AT LEAST 12 up-to-date computers on hand for the students to use. On the current budget the music classroom has, it will take us YEARS to build the collection to what it needs to be. However, I am determined to see this process through.
