The items that I am requesting are a large area rug for carpet time and choice seating time. Giving students a choice where to sit makes student feel confident and focused to work to their full potential. I love as a teacher working on the floor with my students, we read, create, problem solve and even play games. My students see me as a role model as I sit, sand and move all around the room and I want them to feel the same way in a learning environment. By donating to my classroom students will have access to many types of books to read and learn from all year long. The display will help keep them handy so as a class we can refer to them or even reread an old favorite. I want all of my students to have a love for reading and books. I want all students to learn at their learning level small groups in reading, writing and math with help achieve my learning goals for all students. I use growth mindset, mindfulness and second step to keep a balance with academics by taking breaks with breathing techniques.
