The writing, drawing, and painting materials will give my students different options to express their literacy development. Our art area in the classroom is one of my student's favorite centers. During our daily center time, my students curiously explore new materials that are available. They make their own predictions of what will happen when mixing different colors. My students show so much pride when the complete their art projects. At the end of the day, they are eager to have their parents see their work that is displayed in the classroom. All of the writing materials will be used during our daily journal time. Students practice drawing lines and curves so they can begin to write letters. Students come to master writing their name with their favorite color markers, crayons, and pencils.
