My guys need some more books that are age appropriate but do not surpass their current reading level. These types of books encourage reading since the stories are interesting, there are many pictures, and they are easy to follow and understand. They would really appreciate these books! Some context clues do not make sense unless they are shown. We need very exact meanings and books with pictures do just that. They are too old and mature for children’s books (I.e. hungry caterpillar, brown bear, etc.) and they want something challenging, but not confidence breaking. We have one Dog Man book, but it’s the one from the middle of the series, so they are really wanting to know what is going on!
