My students are mostly ENL(ESL) and can use the hands-on materials to better understand what is being taught. These manipulatives will also allow students to explore and showcase their math knowledge in creative and innovative ways. The Dominoes are used to create, multiply and find equivalent fractions. The Wiki sticks are used to create and measure angles. The magnetic materials will be used on a large magnetic board to display answers and student interaction when solving problems pertaining to fractions, shapes, addition subtraction multiplication and division Allowing students to have fun practicing skills we are learning in class is an important factor in their engagement. Making learning fun will help my students to get excited about learning and help them to remember the important math standards we are learning in class. Thank you for your consideration!
