Even in a Hutterite colony, technology is becoming more and more important. We’ve had desktop computers in the past, but students had to share, which caused difficulties at times. Individual iPads would allow students to sit anywhere in the classroom, such as on the couch, or in a comfy corner, and concentrate better on their learning. They love computer time, and will be able to focus better on the iPads than sitting next to someone, as they had to do with the “old” computers. I want my students to have the same opportunities as those students in our town school.
