In today's classroom, the involvement of moving and touching what you're learning about can make a huge impact on how much knowledge is gained. The incorporation of technology is also a key to success when educating young students. Therefore, my second graders really need the projector for our classroom white board so that many of our lessons and activities can become interactive and student-centered. When a student can manipulate a piece of the lesson themselves and engage in parts of instruction actively, they begin to take ownership of their education. There are also many other parts of the day that can benefit from an interactive white board, such as taking attendance and playing review games. This is why I believe a short throw projector and wall mount is going to be endlessly impactful on my students participation and success in the classroom.
