My students are 4 and 5 year old kindergartners. Some of them come to school as phenomenal readers and some can barely spell their name. They are spunky, happy little people and feeling like they can't do what their peers can do can kill their self esteem. They attend public school and many of them live in the same apartment buildings as their classmates.
