All students need the opportunity to read. Reading helps them go places they never thought possible. It also helps them to learn things on subjects they are interested in. According to my students’ accommodations, they would benefit from audiobooks. The audiobooks will be read aloud to them which helps them comprehend better than if they were to read them on their own. It is part of their accommodations for items to be read aloud to them. Some of the students I have can do fine with reading on their own, but it helps to have books on their specific level of reading not just their grade level. This is where the second through fourth grade level books come in use.
