The students will be better able to collaborate on projects and have more flexibility in sitting and standing versus being in chair-attached desks. With table they can move better around the class and they can stand while doing certain activities or stand because they need a break from sitting. It also helps to streamline the classroom by making it easier to move and adjust things to fit the tasks of the day. Another reason for chairs and tables is that it makes the room more open and condusive to changing groupings and configurations to suit the model of I do, we do, you do.
