In the 2019-2020 school year, our district is continuing the second year of our intervention program and philosophy. We have adopted the Read 180 and System 44 intervention programs which promise to foster significant reading gains. My colleagues and I work with students in small group rotations where they will receive targeted, personalized reading instruction. Students will participate in a learning-style inventory at the start of the program that will empower them to choose the flexible seating that best meets their individual needs. In an effort to revitalize the relationship our students have with reading, we plan to account for their physical needs in addition to their academic needs because we believe the two are intimately connected. I'm so grateful for the continual support of my students and their learning!
