The bike, rowing machine, and balance and stability balls will strengthen both lower and upper body and help with mobility and brain function as well as social and community skills. The act of sharing things and communication is sometimes hard for students with special needs, so speaking and asking to use a piece of equipment in a safe setting will give them the skills to transition into their everyday life outside the school setting. Health is another reason that such equipment is needed to foster good daily exercise habits and increase endorphins in the brain and help with mood. When an education plan is combined with movement and fun, the possibilities are endless for the amount of growth that can be achieved.
