The use of iPads in speech therapy is almost a daily activity in my speech room. Several apps are designed specifically for speech therapists to utilize in a highly efficient way. The iPad allows me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide a highly motivating way to engage students in the therapy setting. By having an iPad, students will be able to focus on their learning while enriching the learning environment. Some of my students are unable to communicate using their voice. iPad apps are available to provide highly efficient ways in which nonverbal students are able to communicate their wants and needs. It gives them a voice of their own. By donating to our project, you will help improve the overall quality of speech therapy services provided in the school setting by increasing focus and academic achievement. Technology is a major key to unlock our world. Through exposure, we can teach our students how to become highly effective members of society.
