It has been said that children spend their first three years of school learning to read. They spend the rest of their schooling reading to learn. I believe that reading is the building block of education. By the time a child has reached my third grade classroom, reading is necessary in every single subject. I am at a bilingual campus with a great amount of diversity. I have children who love to read (and do so every single day), and I have students who have no books to practice, and no one who can read to them.

About my class
