Our school district covers 151 square miles and includes three small rural communities. We have 156 students in grades 6-8, and 24% of our students come from families of low socio-economic status. The majority of our families live in our small communities and commute to jobs in nearby metro areas. Only a small percentage of our students live on farms. Our students have positive attitudes, strong work ethics, and caring hearts. Our students learn best when given opportunities to interact with manipulative and engage in hands-on learning that leads to deeper conceptual understanding of abstract mathematical concepts.
