I teach a 4th/5th grade combination class at a school in a low-socioeconomic area. More than 75% of my students receive free or reduced lunch because of their household incomes. Many don't have computers or other current technology in their homes, much less books to read. About half of our school population is bilingual and have parents who don't speak English.
