When I visualize what my day is like, I can see myself walking around the classroom, kneeling by a student to offer assistance, sitting at my desk, and standing next to a student. As a teacher, when you realize how much you move around during the day, it becomes apparent why some students have trouble sitting still. If I have a hard time sitting in my chair, how can I expect my students to sit in one place all day. Flexible seating would allow my students to be able to work at their desks and still have the ability to move. They will be more focused on the task that they need to complete and better able to control behavior.
