These books will be prominently featured in my classroom library to encourage not only reluctant readers but to encourage diverse choices of reading materials and expose my small-town students to a bigger world. The books I chose are books that will either help encourage reluctant readers to pick up a book or expose my students to different cultures. Students will be led to choose diversity in their reading materials in order to increase not only their vocabulary but their background knowledge and ability to empathize with others. I will help students recognize these novels by having students write reviews to encourage others to read these titles.
