I have limited technology in my classroom. If I want to show all my students an example paper and talk about it as a class, I have to make sure it has already been scanned into my computer, which access to a scanner is on the other side of the building. I also cannot write on the paper for everyone to see, so modeling for my students becomes very difficult. I also have a hard time showing examples with math manipulatives or science experiments because only a small number of my students are able to see and this becomes very time consuming because I have to show examples several times. A document camera would make it easier for my students to see what I am modeling so they have a better understanding of an assignment or projects.
