My students benefit from using various technology resources. The computers we currently have in the room either do not work or take an extended period to complete any task. This makes it very difficult to access district curriculum available to other students as well as supplemental sites. For this reason I am looking to replace the computers that are 10-15 years old with updated computers that will effectively access materials and websites that benefit the students. The reason I am choosing Chromebooks is because they are more portable. This allows the students to remain within the computer station or move to an area where they can focus better due to their unique sensory needs. These Chromebooks will also allow my students to effectively access sites like Starfall and other sites that build basic skills and are currently unusable with the computers we have.
