Our students need brain breaks often and with our rigorous schedules, finding time can be hard. Having flexible seating will allow them to get their wiggles out and stay focused on learning! Having an area for students to go to when they need to destress will help them calm their minds down and be ready to reenter the learning environment. The pillows will help students feel safe and comfortable when they need time to themselves and the sensory toys and fidgets will allows students to keep their minds focused on something other than what is stressing them out. The various floor seats will give the students options for where they would like to sit for the day. Some may need just a cushion and others may need a wiggle seat if they feel like they have a lot of energy to get out! Having these in the classroom will really help with calming their little bodies and minds down.
