Read-aloud is a sacred, coveted time in our 4th grade classroom. These quality informational picture books highlight the contributions of social activists, inventors, and artists throughout history. Students will love engaging with these texts and discussing their impact. I am certain they will reach for these books during independent-reading time and use them as springboards for research projects and outreach opportunities. Perhaps most importantly, we will continue to grow as a community of readers that seeks to answer this question: How can we use what we've just read about to make our world better? Sharing these great informational picture books together (and reading them independently) will provide my young students with inspiration to agents of social change in our world. We are truly grateful for any support you can give!
