The Milan High School Robotics team is entering into its second year of existence. Milan is excited to have a program that encourages students to become leaders in math and science. During the first year, the team worked to build a functioning robot without support financially that many veteran teams have. The Milan team does not have the corporate sponsorship nor do they have a company providing engineering support to our students. The team relies on volunteers to support their efforts. Veteran teams often run budgets that exceed $30,000 annually, after registering for competition the Milan team budget is left with less than $4,000 to construct a robot. The students spend more than 6 weeks working with engineers to plan and build a working robot. This lack of funds leave the team severely disadvantaged at competition. Please consider donating to help the team complete another successful year with FIRST Robotics.
