With a new cubby storage unit, my students will be able to practice their independence skills by going to their work bins and getting the materials that they need for the day. Each row of cubbies will be for a different student in the class. They will practice getting their things from the first bin, putting them away, and then moving on to the next bin. This will help with transition skills and independence. Having this piece of furniture in my room will assure that all work related items for each child's IEP goals are stored in a safe place. The students will be able to learn which row is theirs and soon be able to work independently!
