Kindergartners today are savvy learners who want choices. While choices are good, they still have much to learn. What I want to do is provide these young minds with the ability to chose from a range of activities known as "centers," We can all relate to them, as we were there once. Centers don't have to be confined to a table. Through the use of binders my students can work on the carpet, a lap desk, or even at a table if they choose. The use of binders will allow for differentiation for learners, as they will offer a chance to pick their rotational centers. Students who are not quite working at grade level will be able to work on their skills anonymously. The use of binders will also allow for me to check in with their progress at any time, and the chance of the work being lost, as all pieces are self-contained.
