These materials will create a smooth and organized environment for my students. Having desks with no storage in them, it is critical they have a personal space in the classroom designated to their belongings. Having manipulative tools will also help my students with their mathematical thinking in reference to counting, place value, and operations. Finally, the easel will make for great whole group instruction on the carpet in my room where we can create thinking maps, study new letters and sounds, and allow for me to instruct all my students in a closer and more controlled environment rather than at their seats at all times.
