I believe that how you organize your classroom space demonstrates how your organize your learning - organized space, organized brain. Students who are organized tend to be able to better organize their learning. These students seem to remember more of what was taught in the classroom. This is why my students need the Storage Seat Pockets. Presently, they have to get up and move to their cubbys when they need supplies or work packets. If kindergarten students are being required to concentrate on tasks and follow multi-steps directions, then the adults in the classroom should do whatever is necessary to help them. As the teacher, it is my responsibility to make sure that students are focused on instruction as much as possible.
