Having new desks in my classroom will increase students learning. They will be given the opportunity to work independently and within groups. These desks will also help increase students ability to focus with individual work spaces. The desks will give them more opportunities to be actively involved in the learning. Classroom environment plays an important factor in student success. Currently, my students are overly stimulated with desks that are too big. They are also limited on seating arrangements. The new desks will provide more choices for working alone or in small groups. It will also increase visibility to the learning material. First graders have a very difficult job. Not only are they learning the academic component of school, but they are also learning how to be learners. The product I have selected will help my students by giving them an appropriate sized work space, and create other work spaces within the classroom. These desk will be extremely beneficial for some students who have a hard time focusing and may need space from other students or distractions.
