Our classroom library will inspire my students to love reading, and read about diverse topics and peoples. My students will be able to see kids like them in the characters in these books, and hopefully they will learn to love who they are and understand and have compassion for people who are quite different from them. Many of my students are well below grade level in their reading, and I want them to have plenty of materials to choose from to boost their abilities to read and comprehend. I want them to have access to all the materials they will need to be successful throughout their lives.
