In one of my very first teach experiences, my co-teacher utilized essential oils every day in her classroom. She allowed the students to be independent in advocating when and what oil they needed to aid in their behaviors or their emotions. This not only taught the students how to self-advocate but it also allowed the students a freedom to learn how to self regulate. Four year olds are entering the world of school, most for the very first time and are surrounded by new people, new routines and a new environment, which can be overhwelming. Many students process these new changes in various ways. Utilizing these essential oils can help these students balance their emotions and have a positive and exciting first experience with a school setting. Essential oils can be used to provide calm, focus, and many other balance of emotions. OnGuard, specifically can provide protection from various germs, which we know are EVERYWHERE in a 4K classroom. With these basic essential oils and diffuser, my students the opportunity to come in to a peaceful and fun classroom environment for the first time!
