Every year, each school in our county/district participates in a Superintendent's Reading challenge, in which students must read 25 books between September and March. The number of our students that meet this yearly challenge, is typically much lower than numbers turned in from other schools in our district. I have worked at this school, with these amazing kids, for over 15 years, but have recently transitioned into the role of Media Specialist. My goal is to help every student find a love for reading and to get them all to complete this challenge! I am breaking the challenge down into smaller goals, and offering prizes for every 5 books read. I would like to offer these prizes as incentives to get the kids to start reading and hopefully they will find a love for it along the way!
