I would really like to offer my students a safe, fun, and stable environment to come to each day and learn. I want to provide them with all of their needs to enable them to be the best they can be. Currently my students have to sit on the tile floor when it comes time to do a large group activity or while doing a read aloud. They often complain that the floor is hard and uncomfortable, which creates a major distraction for their little minds. I am looking to purchase the Dots Spots seating rug to place in front of my classroom, near our board for more personal lessons. This also serves as a means to get my students out of their seats and able to move around the classroom. My students are currently learning how to self regulate using Zones of Regulation. For this reason, they need a cool down corner where they can take a breather. They can sit and think, play with playdoh, and read a book. This also doubles as a library in our classroom. As new readers, it is often important that my students have several selections of places that they can sit while they're enjoying a good book. I'd like to purchase a blue Comfy Floor Seat and a green stripes large children's bean bag chair.
