My students are amazing third graders from great state Wyoming. I have a wide range of abilities, genders and ethnicities in my classroom. My school receives title funds due to the fact that the majority of our student population receive free and/or reduced lunch. In addition, our state has recently felt the effects of not only the oil and gas downturn. We will continue to feel the effects of reduced funding for public education in our state as well as the possibility of additional school closures. As a classroom teacher, I try to focus the use of my budget on field trips and consumables that my students use on a daily basis. The remaining materials (curriculum, classroom supplies etc), for the most part, are purchased personally. Any help that I can get to meet the needs of my students in my pursuit to help them become productive members of society would be most appreciated!
