Our Nerdy Birds will have access to these microwaves to carry out the various STEM investigations for example Popcorn investigation which will determine if the treatment of kernels prior to putting in the microwave will have an effect on the quantity that pops. Another STEM investigation will be how heat impacts the physical qualities of matter utilizing marshmallows. After this projects students will also investigate measuring the speed of light in a microwave. Using the microwaves students will also investigate expanding soap and the different element changes that occur during the process. These are just some of the investigations students will conduct.
