This new exciting school year, I will be providing my superstars with flexible seatings. By having these alternative seatings in my classroom, they are going to have an opportunity of making their choices of which seating arrangement that works best for their learnings. Many of them have attention and behavior problems and they often get fidgety and restless. It is very hard for my kids to stay engaged while sitting in a hard, uncomfortable chair all day. Being able to move and use different choices of seats like wobble tools, comfy cushions and exercise balls can eliminate any behavioral issues that may arise and will encourage them to stay focused. It will increase task behavior and decrease excess energy that will lead to more student engagement and success in the class.
