Working in a large urban district, I have always been short on supplies, primarily copies of books needed for novel study. Simply put, this project will allow my students in all sections to use a paperback copy of the book. This will allow them to read independently, take notes and follow along in shared reading activities. Most of my students have spent their academic careers missing the most basic resources-like books! Having a classroom collection of Lord of the Flies will make our lives immeasurable easier. It's a true classic, and I'm so glad to share it with my students.
