My classroom needs a kidney table. My kids benefit from guided reading with small individual groups that meet daily to focus on individual goals to meet each students needs. We currently have used furniture that we asked for when the middle school was getting new furniture. It was nicer than what we had. Our individual desks are fine, but our reading table is too small to fit a group of five and the teacher. The legs on the table are not in effective places to allow chairs to fit underneath, so students are continuously banging knees and fussing about who will be the unlucky ones to sit in those spots. The layout of the table makes it hard to reach each student as needed without distracting other students. We plan to also use this table for art activities., math centers, and even a place to play games during indoor recess Please help us get a kidney table.
