My students need a printer to incorporate 21st century technology into their math and science instruction. Technological literacy is essential if our students are to be competitive in a 21st century global economy. Having printer technology would allow students to be active participants in the learning process rather than passive recipients of information. My students need a printer and ink to help them gain the skills that will enable them to compete in a global 21st century economy. Using the printer and ink along with computer technology in a collaborative learning environment for researching, writing, and math provides a richer, more meaningful learning experience, rather than just simple drills and practice. Having this vital tool will also prepare them for college and beyond, where they will be asked to prepare typed essays, spreadsheets or other presentations.
