I teach 4th grade students in an urban school district. I am trying to pass on my love of storytelling and history to my students through books that I personally bring in to enrich our curriculum. I've found that students are stimulated by getting involved in reading great works of classic and contemporary fiction. I'm able to reach many reluctant readers by giving them the opportunity to experience entire books in my class rather than merely reading the isolated sections that are given to us by the school district's selected text.

About my class
