Kindergartners sometimes have a hard time calming their bodies which is why we will have a location in the classroom to allow a student to calm down and refocus. In the calm down area we would like some tools to help the students refocus and calm down such as fidget toys, Theraputty, and a wiggle seat. The pillows, and yoga mats will help students feel at home and comfortable in the classroom. We would also like some ambiance lighting to help students feel so stressed in the fluorescent lights as that can sometimes cause headaches. These tools will help the student refocus, and get back to work.
