It is easy for students to lose track of important papers to go home or worksheets that need to be returned the following school day. This is because I currently have two classes that I teach every day, which amounts to 64 students that walk in and out of my room. I often find that having a paper passer to hand out the papers each day helps this process, but it is not always reliable. Students leave their desk to fulfill their daily routine/jobs for the day and sometimes papers are left on their desk that need to go home. My mission is to help students become more independent in the classroom and out. By getting a mailbox organizer for my classroom, students can get all of their important papers/worksheets there at the end of the school day or before they leave my to go to their other teacher. Having this type of system in place will help students become more organized and will also help students who are absent catch up on things that they need to complete or important papers that need to go home. As my students leave me, they are going to need to be responsible with their papers because they are going on to middle school where they have six different teachers and six different classrooms. My goal is to help students learn to take care of themselves and become more independent in the classroom.
