When you think of women's studies who do you picture in your mind? Jane Addams. Susan B. Anthony. and Elizabeth Cady Staton. Betty Friedan. Rosie the Riveter. Maybe even Harriet Tubman. But often times the stories of women's greatness is told through a white washed lens. My goal is to help my students connect with women's studies by giving them the opportunity to study ALL women. By funding this project you will help to provide books from the viewpoint of various women of color. And therefore helping students to make connections between what they read and learn and with themselves.
