Flexible seating is an exciting way to engage students in learning a difficult subject like math, and it will also create a sense of safety and love within the classroom. Students will get the opportunity to use different seating options during lessons, projects, and independent work. Students that feel safe and comfortable in their classroom will be more focused and excited about learning. Math can be a tough subject for students and teachers. I taught first grade for two years. So, nervously, this is my first year teaching fifth grade math. I would love for it to be my best year yet! I'm requesting Calming Colors Giant Pillows and Flex-Space Wobble Cushions, Wobble Chairs, and Balance Ball Seats to create comfortable learning areas during my math classes. I can't wait to see how engaged my students will be using these flexible seating options, and I hope to make learning (and teaching) math a little more fun and enjoyable.
