My ESOL students come from a variety of countries throughout Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. They are incredibly talented, and determined to learn English as quickly as possible. They attend a high poverty school in an urban area. While many of the students have bilingual dictionaries, unfortunately the students from countries with less common languages, particularly the students from Bangladesh, often struggle to find bilingual resources. This means that some of my students can not get the first language support that their peers who speak languages such Spanish and French are able to find. We are in dire need of bilingual dictionaries to support the learning of all students!
