Students will integrate math and reading through the use of DynaMath magazines. This resource will give students real-world math problems to solve. They will see how math is used in every day life. They will be more engaged because they will move beyond basic computation, worksheets, and textbooks. Math will come alive for them. Students should develop their critical thinking skills. They will have the opportunity to better develop their interpersonal skills by working together in small groups when solving problems. I look forward to seeing the excitement DynaMath will infuse into my teaching and classroom. 5th grade mathematicians in the making.
