Back in November as we wrapped up our first Unit on What Matters we studied and read the first 3 chapters of "The Hate U Give" by Angie Thomas. Students completed multiple assignments dealing with the first 3 chapters and we even went to see the movie. It really touched my heart to see how enthusiastic they were about reading "The Hate U Give" and many begged me to keep reading the story. Time did not allow us to complete the book but for Christmas I'd love to give each of them a copy to have for their very own!!!

About my class
