Our students are from all over the county. The school building is not new, but it just reopened with a miraculous face lift and a brand new collection of students and teachers. We are trying to build a supportive learning environment, but there is not a lot of funding. Music class is a place to explore, create relationships, and develop social skills for life, but we do not have real percussion instruments to play and we need the hands on learning. Up to this point we have used the furniture in the room to explore rhythms, but now that the students are advancing, they are asking for REAL instruments and different timbres.

About my class
