The use of an iPad for small groups would make technology more accessible to our students. Throughout the day, when we are working in small groups and researching, the computers are not always available. With the use of the iPad, getting online with the students will be easier. I would like to download writing applications for a few of our students who are going to soon have assistive technology. When we work in small groups or while conferencing with our students, the computer is too bulky to get around the classroom in an orderly fashion. Instead of writing our notes on paper then onto the computer we can type the notes one time, saving time. This extra time can be spent conferencing or working in small groups throughout the day. There are also some awesome math apps to help our learning disabled students work on their multiplication skills.
