Working with small groups of children allows for differentiated learning to take place. Having a table that is meant for small group instruction would be wonderful! The horseshoe shape would allow me to easily see and work with each student. It would allow for the small group of students to interact not only with me but even more importantly, with each other. It is important that students get the opportunity to work in small groups in order to get individualized instruction. Working together in small groups builds strong communication skills and strengthens their ability to work cooperatively with each other.
